Final Packaging - Oily Skin


I have finished the packaging for the oily skin range, this range has eight products in it like the dry skin range. I have shown both the finished versions as well as the draft before adding in the safety information. I chose a yellow colour tone for this packaging as it is a compartmental colour to green which I used for the dry skin range witch I have designed for beginners who are looking to learn more about make-up. 

With these packaging designs I tried to follow the same layout I was using for the dry skin range before. I am happy with all the packaging layout. I believe the information is positioned in a way where its easy to see, read and scan when being brought.

Safety Labels After finding the official legal document provided by the government on there cosmetic laws in the UK I was able to get a better understanding of what my packaging must include. This was informative because I do know that there has to be correct labels on packaging so that the consumer can see if they want to use it but I didn't know know enough  to create my own packaging  that applies with the law. Chosen Brand: Maybelline New York

Maybelline New York After researching a bunch of well know drug store brands to pick as my client I have decided on Maybelline New York. I picked them as I believe I would have a little bit more freedom with the design as I was very close to picking L`Oreal as well, if it wasn't for L`Oreal having other franchises under the same name I would of gone with them due to them having in my opinion a bigger range of products but I didn't want to limit myself to making the logo still recognisable to the original as I think that would of limited my creative flow. Making the decision to go with Maybelline New York is still very positive as they have grate products that I would feel confident recommending and working with as well as a big range to work with. I love the fact that they work with iconic models that are very trendy and can help promote the new campaign to the world. Zine Front Cover

Front Cover Options  The first page of my zine has two designs as in my journal I sketched out an idea but I had two ideas for the background. This is why I have two different options here but I have to look into the both and decide which one I think is best shows the message I am trying to send as well as the most ascetically pleasing.      The first idea that I spoke about in my journal was to have past campaigns in the background of the front cover with the text bold over the top saying “THE FUTURE OF” then the Maybelline name logo that I have chosen as my most favourite design. This idea at first wasn’t working out as I haven’t used In design before I didn’t know how to make an image smaller when copying it in, but after playing around with it I figured it out.
