My Final logo

In my zine I show my process of getting to this final design.I also talk more about why I liked this design with all the pro`s and con`s of the logos that came as close runner-ups. I also talk about the best way to use this different layouts and how it fits my target requirements.
  


These are my final logo mock-ups my main logo will be the one on the left but I had to make other designs for when my main logo wont be suitable. When designing a logo this is very important as the company might need the logo to fit into a space that the main one can not. This is why I made other smaller designs so that they can be used for all situations that might occur.

This is an example of what other brands do for there different concept logos. This is a very famous brand and they have to have different logos for when its used in all its different forms. This is important as it need to always be recognised.

Safety Labels After finding the official legal document provided by the government on there cosmetic laws in the UK I was able to get a better understanding of what my packaging must include. This was informative because I do know that there has to be correct labels on packaging so that the consumer can see if they want to use it but I didn't know know enough  to create my own packaging  that applies with the law. Chosen Brand: Maybelline New York

Maybelline New York After researching a bunch of well know drug store brands to pick as my client I have decided on Maybelline New York. I picked them as I believe I would have a little bit more freedom with the design as I was very close to picking L`Oreal as well, if it wasn't for L`Oreal having other franchises under the same name I would of gone with them due to them having in my opinion a bigger range of products but I didn't want to limit myself to making the logo still recognisable to the original as I think that would of limited my creative flow. Making the decision to go with Maybelline New York is still very positive as they have grate products that I would feel confident recommending and working with as well as a big range to work with. I love the fact that they work with iconic models that are very trendy and can help promote the new campaign to the world. Zine Front Cover

Front Cover Options  The first page of my zine has two designs as in my journal I sketched out an idea but I had two ideas for the background. This is why I have two different options here but I have to look into the both and decide which one I think is best shows the message I am trying to send as well as the most ascetically pleasing.      The first idea that I spoke about in my journal was to have past campaigns in the background of the front cover with the text bold over the top saying “THE FUTURE OF” then the Maybelline name logo that I have chosen as my most favourite design. This idea at first wasn’t working out as I haven’t used In design before I didn’t know how to make an image smaller when copying it in, but after playing around with it I figured it out.
